Don’t worry; we make your contact lens exam absolutely painless! So we can achieve the best measurements possible for your optical prescription, we perform the following tests during your eye exam:
● Cornea size- contact lens design will ensure that they sit comfortably on your cornea.● A keratometer test– obtains the base curve of your cornea, and reveals how light reflects off of your cornea.● A corneal topography test– provides color-coded details about your entire cornea.● Pupil size- by holding a gauge next to your eye, or by using an automated instrument, we measure the horizontal and vertical diameter of your pupil or iris size.● Tear film evaluation– measures the quality of your tears, and determines the rate at which you produce tears.● At the end of the contact lens exam, we will give you a prescription to order your new contact lens.
